Smoke Detector Survey
Iredell County Fire Marshal
What if my house is on fire?
If your house is on fire or has smoke inside, evacuate the residence. It is important to have an emergency evacuation plan from every room in the house and to practice this plan at least twice a year. After you leave the residence, borrow a phone from a neighbor and contact 9-1-1 or your local emergency number immediatly. Do not attempt to go back inside the residence to retrieve pets or personal belongings. Have a designated meeting spot for every member of the family to meet to guarantee everyone makes it out of the house.
